PhD Student Spotlight at Northwestern University

Our Dear Mckenna Farmer is one of our CoWERC student’s working in George Wells laboratory at NU. She was part of the PH.D. Student spotlight on the Spring Quarter 2022. Mckenna works with lab-scale biological wastewater treatment systems to remove nutrients and recover energy and products. She is currently operating a CANDO+P reactor to achieve nitrogen and phosphorus removal removal, with energy recovery through nitrous oxide production.
